Thurrock Swimming Club has been awarded a grant by Thurrock Community & Voluntary Services (Thurrock CVS) to help tackle inequalities within swimming.
TSC have been successful in providing opportunities to residents aged 11-25 who have special needs or are young carers.
The award from Thurrock CVS will be used for young carers and children aged 7-10. The grant will help support an additional 14 young swimmers to access swimming lessons, motivate and build self esteem. It is a great opportunity for Thurrock Swimming Club to play a greater role within the community and help develop each child’s physical and mental wellbeing. This project will further break down the barriers that exist and encourage more of the community to access swimming lessons.
