Thurrock Swimming Club took a team to the recent County and Regional Open Water Championships held in Norwich. The team, who train ant Blackshots Leisure Centre with Impulse Leisure, enjoyed huge success and gained lots of medals.
In the 1km event, Adam Zarhoul got a Silver in region and County Gold, Isla Cotter finished 8th in the Region and won Bronze in Essex and Lily Franks swam to 19th in the Region and 4th Essex. In the 3K Isabella Da Silva won Gold in both the Regional and County Competition. In the 2K event, Luke Ward got 6th Region and Silver in Essex, Adam Thompson got 7th Region and won a county Bronze medal, Will Minister Silver within the Region and Gold Essex, Daniel Thompson won the Regional and Essex titles and Lilyanna Verlander got 18th in the Region and 7th in County.
