Orsett & Thurrock Cricket Club

Orsett & Thurrock Cricket Club founded 2016 (Previously Orsett Cricket Club founded in 1839 & Thurrock Cricket Club founded 1992) is a family club that run 5 Senior Sides, 11 Colts Sides & 2 Girls Sides and welcomes everyone to our club to enjoy the cricket. We provide coaching for youngsters and have facilities at School Lane in Orsett to enable us to deliver this. The Club is affiliated to the England and Wales Cricket Board through the Essex County Cricket Board. Our objectives as set out in our constitution are:-

1. To foster and promote the sport of cricket at all levels, providing opportunities for recreation and competition.

2. To respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person and treat everyone equally regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status.

3. To ensure a duty of care to all members of the Club by adopting and implementing the ECB Safe Hands, Welfare of Young People in Cricket policy, and any future versions of the policy.

4. To ensure a duty of care to all members of the Club by adopting and implementing the ECB Cricket Equity Policy and any future versions of the policy.
