Swimmers from Thurrock Swimming Club participated in this year’s East Region short course championships held in Luton. The swimmers who train at Blackshots Leisure Centre in Grays with Impulse Leisure gained several medals and more English qualifying times.
Nikita Charykin (17) finished 2nd in the 200 back with a best time and also 3rd in the 100 back with a huge PB and another English QT. Nikita also competed in the 100 fly but finished just outside of his best time.
Henry Dean finished 3rd in the 100 fly 4th in the 50 fly, 4th in the 200 fly with a huge personal best time and achieved another best time in the 50 free.
Daniel Boboye swam a great race in the 50 breast achieving a best time and with an English QT. Daniel also achieved a PB in the 50 free and 50 fly. He also competed in the 100 & 200 breast.
Ayobami Akindele competed in the 50 fly and swam to a personal best time.
Ethan Martin equalled his best time in the 100medley and a best time in the 50 fly. He was just outside of his best in the 50 free and 50 back.
Daniel Thompson achieved a best time in the 400 free and equalled his best time in the 200& 400 medley. In the 800 & 1500free, Daniel swam just outside of his best.
Olivia Church competed in the 800 & 1500 free.
Louise Webster swam just outside of her best in the 200 fly.
