Thurrock CVS and the Volunteer Centre Thurrock would like to say a huge congratulations to nine magnificent volunteers who recently took part in our ‘Kitchen project’, which was only possible due to funding received from Multiply.
The volunteers completed 12.5 hours of training, in which they utilised their number skills and learnt how a community kitchen can be set up, the resources required and how a community kitchen can benefit different parts of the wider community.
At the end of the training, the volunteers completed a Level 2 Food and Hygiene exam, which they will be able to use going forwards in the future. The volunteers are now considering their next steps, whether that is future studying, volunteering or a change in employment.
Pictured here are just a few of the incredible volunteers that took part.
Well done to all involved!
