What does it mean to become a Community Health Champion Connector?
Community Health Champions promote positive health and wellbeing
information to communities. To help us with this we are looking for Connectors
who have a circle of contacts and would be interested in sharing health and
wellbeing messages. Having just one person take up the message means the
information is getting through, but with an army of Connectors like YOU,
together we can make a difference.
We don’t want this to be too time consuming for you, but if you think you can
do this within your social or work circle, then please sign up, all we need is
your email address.
The following points outline what being a connector is about.
You have an interest in health and wellbeing and you are passionate
about local services
You have a network of friends, family or community contacts, who would
be interested in hearing about health initiatives and where to find and
access local services
You are happy to spread messages via simple chatting, attending a
group/meeting, email, text, social media (eg facebook, Instagram, X,
TikTok) or other means
You use diplomacy, confidentiality and sensitivity when spreading
messages
You are keen to expand your knowledge around health and wellbeing
You can signpost to CVS if further knowledge is required or a concern is
raised
You are fair, non-judgemental and compassionate.
Once signed up we will send you emails on a regular basis. To register your interest, please email: CHchampions@thurrockcvs.org
