There were 5,583 suicides registered in England and Wales in 2021. Each week, approximately 115 people die by suicide in the UK. Research has found that as many as 650 suicides in the UK, or 10% each year, could be work-related. (All data from Office for National Statistics reporting and its Hazards Campaign.)
