We recently held an Easter Brunch with colleagues from the Voluntary & Community sector, which included hot cross buns and plenty of laughter.
It was great to see some familiar and new faces and to hear such great connections being made on the day. Representatives had the opportunity to talk about their projects and to make new connections.
Jacqui Payne, Head of Infrastructure & Community Development, gave a verbal update on some of the recent work of Thurrock CVS, including the Third Sector Report, Digital Survey report and next steps and Third Sector Resilience event.
Active Essex gave an update on their new Place Partnership Expansion project which will see money invested in Thurrock to help to increase activity levels, decrease inactivity and breakdown the barriers and inequalities that prevent people from playing sport or being active.
The sector Brunches provide a great opportunity for many groups to come together and network, so look out for our next in person Brunch taking place on Tuesday 25th June.
