Everyone who goes through a cancer diagnosis and treatment will experience it differently. If you have had treatment in one of the local hospitals in Essex, or supported someone who has, we are keen to know what worked well and what might have made things better for you and your family or supporters.
A special focus group will be held online on Wednesday 8 November 6.30-8.00pm
We would be delighted to welcome you to join us to share your thoughts and experiences. We want to listen carefully to the views and ideas of patients, their families, and carers, and use them to continually improve cancer care locally. These will be one-off informal meetings led by people who have themselves experienced cancer, you can choose either date to attend, whichever suits you best, you don’t need to attend both.
All views and comments shared within these sessions will be used anonymously only to help design and improve NHS services for the future.
Participants will be encouraged to consider their diagnosis, care, and treatment and to give their views using personal statements such as:
I would have liked … when I was first diagnosed.
I would have preferred … during my treatment.
I wanted to know … after surgery.
I appreciated … throughout my care.
Please email the East of England Cancer Alliances Team if you are interested in taking part, or would like more information, at: england.eoecancerallianceteam@nhs.net, or call 0113 539 9425 and leave a message. Someone will call you back.
Anyone else who is interested but unable to attend this date can contribute via our online survey, by following this link: https://forms.office.com/r/2BUThkKZzY
