Volunteers’ Week is the perfect opportunity to recognise volunteers who put their time, energy and enthusiasm into helping others. It’s important that we recognise the contribution that’s volunteers provide, and how valuable this contribution is to local communities, groups and organisations across Thurrock.
Volunteers are central to the work of many charities and organisations and have a valuable presence in communities, providing support through charities,
clubs, libraries, schools and hospitals.
No one is better at talking about the contribution volunteers make than volunteers themselves. We are asking volunteers to tell us their stories, how they got into volunteering, what motivates them and the benefits to volunteering to encourage others to think about getting involved in volunteering. We would therefore ask that you circulate the following hashtag #volunteer in Thurrock to your volunteers or
ask them to email their stories across to SocialMedia@thurrockcvs.org
We would also love to hear from your organisation on how volunteers make
a difference to your services or activities.
We hope that in Volunteers’ Week 2023 you will join us in saying thank you to
your volunteers and everyone who volunteers across the Borough.
If you need some ideas to say thank you to your volunteers, or would benefit from resources such as certificates etc then visit:
